Campuses to be Retired:

Current Site of Travis Primary School

Travis Primary School was built in 1954, making it 70 years old. Due to a variety of issues over the years, including a major electrical outage and subsequent repairs in 2024, this campus will be retired for student and staff use.

Current Site of Rowena Johnson Primary School
Rowena Johnson Primary School was built in 1966, making it 58 years old. Due to a variety of issues over the years, including the collapse of their main sewer line in 2023, this campus will be retired for student and staff use.
*This campus name will be reused at one of the new elementary campuses to continue honoring one of the town's most beloved educators.

Current Site of Sulphur Springs Elementary School
Sulphur Springs Elementary School was built in 1959, making it 65 years old.Between 1960 and 2012 the campus has had a total of 9 renovations to allow the building to be functional for a variety of age groups it has had to provide space for. Due to the heavy use over the years, this campus will be retired AFTER the completion of the new Sulphur Springs Elementary School.
*This campus will remain functional while the replacement campus is built at the current location of Forrest Gregg Field.
